What does it mean?

You've been thinking about somone. Somone you haven't heard from in weeks, months or even years, and within a short period of time you receive some kind of communication from them. Twice I received letters from a woman I had worked with years before within a day of thinking about her for the first time in a long period of time. The second instance I even stopped in front of the mailbox and had the idea that there was going to be a letter from her because it had already happened once and sure enough, there was a letter in the box. My question is obvious. What is this phenomenon that boils down to a "Strange Case Of Uncanny Timing"?

Is it God? Is it the Universe? Entanglement? Are our brains Quantum computers? Is it the "Law of Attraction"?, or is it all nothing more than a coincidence? Carl Jung called it synchronicity and it happens all the time. Does it happen to you? It happens to me and I find myself wondering "What does it mean?". Decide for yourself as you follow my diary of another "Strange Case Of Uncanny Timing", also known as a S.C.O.U.T!

March 2010 - S.C.O.U.T. to the rescue

Reader contribution  -  Tammy sent this chilling story of rescue to me last week about a mutual friend of ours. The story is about our mutual friends mother.

Our mutual friends mother lives in Vermont on Lake Dunmore in the summer, and then lives in Florida in the winter. One day, at her place in Florida, a couple from Middlebury, Vermont - a town very near Lake Dunmore - just happened to be driving by her condo and noticed her license plate which reads “DUNMORE”. The couple was intrigued to see a license plate from a place so near where they lived in Vermont all the way down here in Florida, so they decided on a whim to stop and meet the owner of the car and see if they had any conncections in common.

S.C.O.U.T. -  They knocked on the door of the condo, but got no answer. For some reason, a reason they themselves don’t quite understand, they began trying to peer inside the window looking for the resident and owner of the car. As their eyes adjusted and they realized that what they were looking at was a woman lying on the floor in distress. They called 911 and were able to break into the condo and get her help. This woman had been in extreme distress and had been lying on the floor for 5 hours unable to get the help herself.

The unfortunate part of the story is that our friends mother has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, but the fortunate part is that our friend is with her and doesn’t have to live with the heart wrenching reality that she never got to see her mom again.

Tammy finishes by saying “I believe that there is no doubt that God was at work in this”. Thanks so much for sharing this story with us Tammy. We all have a little something to think about today and my question to you is “do you still believe that there is anything such thing as a coincidence?"

Me and my goofy dog Scout are thinking peaceful, positive thoughts for our friend and her mother.
